The Power of Bubble Baths

Taking baths isn’t just for kids. As an adult, indulging in a bubble bath can be one of the most relaxing and peaceful things you can do for yourself. After especially rough days, all I want to do is crawl into a warm tub and decompress. Now I only re-found my love for bubble baths after watching a video demoing a Lush Cosmetics bath bomb.

After watching this video and reading the reviews for bath bombs, I wanted to take a bath and see what all the hype was about. Unfortunately for me there is not a Lush store in Reno. But while on vacation in Carmel, CA I found a Lush store and went a little crazy buying bath bombs, bubble bars, and sugar lip scrubs. I was so excited to try all of the products but specifically the bath bombs and bubble bars.

The first bath I took with these items came after my diagnosis on an especially tough day. I felt hopeless and didn’t want to do anything at all. However, I saw my Lush bag sitting in the corner of the bathroom and decided that I not only needed to relax and indulge in a bath but that I deserved to.

Twilight Bath Bomb from Lush Cosmetics

I used the Twilight bath bomb first and as I watched the ball slowly fizz in different shades of pink and purple and smelt the lavender oil, my stress and discomfort began to melt away. Since this first bath, I’ve tried many other bath products that Lush provides. Each product utilizes different essential oils for different effects.

I have become a strong believer in the power of bubble baths and even included it in my crisis management plan. If you are feeling extra stressed or just feel the need to relax I encourage you to take the time for yourself and take a nice, hot bath!

    1. You’re welcome! My favorites are the Avobath, Twilight, and the Dragon’s Egg. All three are fresh and have just a little bit of glitter that make the water look beautiful. The water around you is like a paintings and the smells are so relaxing.
